Two weeks of new music concerts, lectures, workshops, & masterclasses.
Participants will be intensely preparing and presenting several different concerts during the last two weeks of June (see schedules below). Some are local, and some are from all over the U.S. and even overseas. Dance choreography students and music composition students will have the chance to collaborate with each other and work intensely during the two weeks to present the final 3rd concert.
During these two weeks, attendees will be studying under internationally recognized composers or choreographers and they will also have the chance to rehearse and work with top-notch musicians, who will also premiere their new works.
This 2nd annual New Music Festival held in Charlotte, NC, is the only event of its kind in the region and is one of only a few places of summer study that young composers, musicians, choreographers, and dancers can attend in the country.
