Charlotte New Music
Founded in 2007, we began as a prison ministry bringing music to populations as a tool for expression, healing, and sharing. Eventually, Charlotte New Music evolved into a dedicated platform for creation, performance, access, and education in original music. As one of the leading new music organizations in the Southeastern U.S., we serve:
1) Artists at the local, national, and international level,
2) Our community, providing access to music and arts performances and learning opportunities.
On a mission to bring art to the people, Charlotte New Music has presented hundreds of workshops, concerts, festivals, and experiences - full of music composed by both up-and-coming and renowned music artists & composers. Attendees have come from every continent (except Antarctica) to collaborate and participate in our programs.
CNM's offerings include workshops, concerts, festivals, innovative experiences, cross-disciplinary collaborations & productions, educational events, professional development for artists, and an occassional newsletter to inform the public on what's happening in our music community.
